There are two distinctive styles of REL containers used in Europe:


UK/Scandinavia:
Lids are available in W=1737mm and 1775mm, and in different lengths to cover openings up to 2140mm long. The series 70 has a doublehinged joint between the two sections, so that the front lid can be tipped open independently. New developments focus on the provision
of watertight lids.

 

Germany/Benelux/France:
The German style container is also used extensively in neighbouring countries. DuraFlex lids for Eurobins started to displace metal lids in 1994, enabling users to dispense with spring-loaded lid opening devices. Two models exist, the more recent one incorporating a
moulded-in handle.
