A key factor in Container Components Europe’s growth during the 1990’s was the implantation of American contractors and the introduction/expansion of the front end loader waste collection system.

We adapted the original American designed lids to suit the pitched-top containers predominant in Europe. A full range of conventional tophinged lids in widths from 900-935mm is available. For German systems built according to DIN norms, lids in W=835mm can also be supplied. The latest version incorporates an overlap and rain channel, to keep the container watertight.

In certain markets, notably Scandinavia, side-hinged lids are proving increasingly popular. The lids can readily be propped open, permitting hands-free charging of the container. Side-hinged lids are less susceptible to damage, because they do not enter as deep into the feed hopper of the FEL vehicle.
